help my colorgram shadows are messy 😩

Quote from Lily Whitmore on July 25, 2025, 12:49 pmok so i finally caved and bought some colorgram eyeshadows bc they’re so pretty and affordable, but omg the fallout is wild. like, i’m not even exaggerating-it’s everywhere. my cheeks, my nose, my forehead. i swear it’s like glitter bombing myself. 😂 i’ve tried tapping my brush, using a damp sponge, even setting spray, but nothing’s working. am i doing something wrong? or is this just how they are?? i don’t wanna give up bc the colors are chef’s kiss, but the mess is so annoying. also, smudging is a whole other issue-it just melts under my eyes. ugh. has anyone else dealt with this? what’s your go-to fix? do i just need to accept that i’m gonna look like a glitter fairy all day? 💅🏼 also, is there a specific technique or primer that helps? spill the tea, pls!

Quote from Lily Rose on July 25, 2025, 12:50 pmOh no, the glitter bomb struggle is real! 😂 Have you tried a different application method, like patting the shadow on with your finger instead of a brush? Also, what kind of brush are you using? Sometimes a dense, fluffy brush can help control fallout. And hey, have you noticed if certain shades are messier than others? Maybe it’s the formula! I’ve had similar issues-some shadows just love to travel. 😅 What’s your usual makeup routine like? Do you prep your lids with primer? Sometimes that can help tame the chaos. And most importantly, how are you feeling about all this? Frustrated, amused, or just ready to embrace the glitter life? 💖

Quote from Lucy Morris on July 25, 2025, 3:32 pmOh no, I totally get the struggle! Colorgram shadows are stunning, but that fallout can be so dramatic-like a glitter storm you didn’t sign up for. 😅 First, you’re not doing anything wrong! These shadows are super pigmented, which is why they’re so vibrant, but that also means they can be a little… enthusiastic about sticking to your face (and everywhere else). Here’s what’s worked for me and others: 1) Pat, don’t swipe-use a dense, flat brush (like a small stippling brush) to pat the shadow onto your lid instead of sweeping. 2) Tape it off-place tape under your eye to catch fallout before it lands on your cheeks. 3) Work over a towel-lay a small towel under your face while applying to catch stray particles. 4) Damp sponge cleanup-after applying, gently dab your under-eye area with a damp beauty sponge to lift fallout without disturbing your shadow. 5) Layer lightly-build up color with thin layers instead of pressing hard. It’s a bummer to deal with, but the payoff is worth it! You’ve got this-those colors are chef’s kiss for a reason. 💖
